The University of Hartford does not have a formal Irish Studies Program but does offers a survey class on the history of modern Ireland in two of its colleges. The two courses (HIS 219 and HSB 210) are very similar and therefore only one of the classes can be taken for credit.

I am the author of Anglo-Irish Relations in the Early Troubles, 1969-1972 (Bloomsbury 2017). I am currently in the research stage of a book on the impact of the Long Kesh hunger strikes in 1980-81 on Anglo-Irish-US relations.
